A rainy day in singleton with a strong market present, a refection of the quality of cattle on show. The lighter categories of Steers and heifers were softer however the balance of cattle showed gains.
Cows were plentiful with the average to make 356.11c/kg this is up 8.63cents from last week. the top of the cows made 428c/kg (as seen in photos) which is up around 8 cents as well.
Steers 200-280kg reached 584.2c/kg (up 4 cents) to average 501.88c/kg down 10.73cents 280-330kg reached 548.20c/kg (up 8.2 cents) to average 484.25c/kg up 7.28cents 330-400kg reached 524.20c/kg (up 4 cents) to average 486.44/kg Up 18.25cents
Heifers 200-280kg reached – c/kg (- cents) to average 404.57c/kg Down 32.26 cents 280-330kg reached 460.20c/kg (Down 2 cents) to average 420.99c/kg down 4.07cents
