We offered a fantastic run of bullocks today at Singleton which hasn’t been seen for some time. The market responded with a strong demand Right from the get go, with some fantastic results shown for our clients.
Cows were plentiful with a good rise in price week on week. Heavy cows made up to 312.2c/kg a lift of 14 cents. The balance of cows traded 200c/kg to 280c/kg and overall 8 cents lift.
Steers
200-280kg reached 450.2c/kg (down 4cents) to average 382.57c/kg Down 28 cents
280-330kg reached 456.2c/kg ( up 22 cents) to average 395.24c/kg up 4.04 cents
330-400kg reached 452.2c/kg (Up 14 cents) to average 372.46c/kg down 8.23 cents
Heifers
200-280kg reached 344.20c/kg (up 4 cents) to average 309.32c/kg up 12.02 cents
280-330kg reached 336.20c/kg (down 16 cents) to average 318.21c/kg up 2.83 cents
Bullocks
They topped at 390.2 cents for some Angus 4-6 tooth Steers brining $2,564.17/hd. the top dollar per head was $2,947.72/hd for a pen of 12 Hereford x Steer. When looking at the Market report a rise of 62cents for the top c/kg and up 42.52cents on average.
